In a significant drug bust, Kumaraswamy Layout Police nabbed three individuals red-handed while attempting to sell ganja from a car in Kanakanagar, recovering 29.03 kg of the contraband worth Rs7.5 lakh.

The arrested have been identified as Afail Pasha (32) of Ilyas Nagar, Syed Imran (24), an autorickshaw driver from Kanakanagar, and Mohammed (24), a wedding event manager residing in Kodichikkanahalli.

According to police sources, a fourth accomplice, currently absconding, used to procure the ganja from Mysuru at a lower price and hand it over to the trio for resale in the city at higher rates.

The bust highlights the ongoing network of drug trafficking stretching between Mysuru and Bengaluru, with local operatives acting as distributors. Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the fourth accused and are investigating possible links to larger drug syndicates.
