Authorities have arrested 18-year-old Addison Adkins in connection with a Feb. 22 rape that occurred on the University of Kentucky’s campus.
According to an arrest complaint, Adkins has been charged with first-degree rape and second-degree strangulation. The complaint states that he photographed and filmed the victim’s injuries, which were later provided to police. Additionally, he allegedly placed his hands around the victim’s neck and applied pressure, causing visible bruising.
Investigation Details
The complaint also references statements made by another suspect, Thompson, who told police that Adkins was heavily intoxicated and became more aggressive toward the victim during the assault.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and additional arrests or charges may follow.
