Adam Michael Moreno Arrested Again for Retail Theft

Previously indicted in power tool theft ring; now faces new charge

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) — Adam Michael Moreno, 37, is back in legal trouble after being arrested on August 27 and booked into the Randall County Detention Center for organized retail theft, just months after pleading guilty to similar charges.

The new charge, issued by a warrant from the 181st District Court, alleges theft of items valued between $750 and $2,500—normally a Class A misdemeanor, but enhanced to a state jail felony due to Moreno’s prior convictions.

Moreno is currently on probation in Potter County after pleading guilty in May to participating in a theft ring responsible for stealing over 400 power tools. At the time, Amarillo Police recovered hundreds of stolen items from Moreno’s apartment.

The offense date for his latest charge is listed as August 15, according to court records.

Moreno was previously indicted in October along with Byron Anthony Guzman, Monte Brant Davis, and Justin Aaron Boldon, all connected to the large-scale theft operation.

This case remains under investigation, and more updates are expected as new information becomes available.
