STATESVILLE, N.C. — An Iredell County man with outstanding warrants has been arrested after authorities say he stole more than $1,000 worth of automotive parts from a local business.
Deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday, Feb. 22, to a report of stolen auto parts from a business on Mocksville Highway.
On Thursday, Detective Zalepka spotted the suspect vehicle traveling along Mocksville Highway. After noticing the vehicle was displaying a fictitious license plate, deputies conducted a traffic stop.
The driver was identified as Adam Steven High, 41. Authorities said High was driving with a suspended license and had outstanding warrants for misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor injury to personal property.
High was taken into custody on the warrants and traffic violations. As the investigation progressed, deputies gathered additional evidence linking him to the reported auto parts theft.
He was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he was charged with felony larceny and formally served with his outstanding warrants. High is currently being held under a $30,000 bond.
