CHINA GROVE, Texas — Abigail Marie Molina, 32, has been arrested in connection with the death of her boyfriend, 64-year-old Gilbert Parker, authorities reported. Molina faces charges of murder, theft valued between $2,500–$29,999, and tampering with evidence.
Parker was discovered unconscious and partially naked on January 18 at the Old Path Baptist Church, where he had been living in a shed on the property. He was transported to a San Antonio hospital but later died from injuries consistent with a blunt force trauma.
Investigators reported multiple bloodstains, clothing, and furniture with apparent blood at the scene. Molina initially claimed self-defense but later provided inconsistent statements. Evidence included Parker’s missing cellphone, wallet, and pickup truck, as well as hair fibers and a vape device linking Molina to the crime scene.
Authorities also recovered a construction hammer from a nearby drainage culvert, matching the injury to Parker’s skull. Molina allegedly washed blood from her clothes and used Parker’s truck to travel to Houston, where she sold it.
Molina was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center following the issuance of an arrest warrant. The investigation into Parker’s death remains ongoing.
