LINCOLN, Neb. — Abel Zamora, 33, was arrested Wednesday after allegedly stealing more than $6,000 from Pizza Hut while employed there.
The Lincoln Police Department responded to the restaurant near West A Street and South Coddington Avenue at around 5:15 p.m. following a report of theft by an ex-employee. Zamora had been terminated earlier that day.
An audit conducted by the manager revealed that Zamora marked 155 cash-paid delivery orders as “undeliverable” from July 2024 to March 2026. Multiple customers confirmed that they had received their pizzas and paid in cash, leading investigators to determine the total stolen amount was $6,271.40.
Zamora was arrested and booked into the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of theft of $5,000 or more.
