ATHENS, Texas — The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, working with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, executed a federal search warrant south of Athens on January 29, 2026.
The operation resulted in the arrest of Abel Figueroa and Ethan Wing on federal charges linked to cocaine distribution.
Figueroa was taken into custody at the scene under an outstanding indictment from the United States Eastern District of Texas Federal Court, charging him with “Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute Cocaine.” Authorities also seized suspected cocaine, firearms, and U.S. currency during the search.
Later the same day, Wing was arrested near Malakoff, Texas, under a similar federal indictment.
Both men were transported to Henderson County Jail for booking on their respective federal warrants, according to the sheriff’s office.
