Delhi Police have arrested two suspects, Abdullah and Prince Ghazi, in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Misbah, a member of the Hashim Baba gang, who was fatally shot in Seelampur, Northeast Delhi, on Thursday night. Both suspects are reportedly linked to their gang leader, Chenu.
The shooting occurred around 10:40 PM near Jama Masjid Seelampur. Misbah was found injured and rushed to JPC Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. The deceased had a criminal record, including seven cases related to murder, attempted murder, robbery, and violations of the Arms Act.
In a separate operation, the Delhi Police Special Task Force and Pul Prahladpur Police arrested 23-year-old Himanshu, a wanted robber, following a brief shootout near Badarpur Flyover Park on October 25. Himanshu sustained a bullet injury to his right leg and was taken to Safdarjung Hospital. Police recovered a .32 bore semi-automatic pistol, two live cartridges, and four empty cartridges from the scene.
Himanshu was wanted in an armed robbery case where he and an associate, Kaushal, had robbed a Domino’s delivery boy on October 22. A video of the robbery had gone viral on social media. The accused has a prior criminal record including kidnapping and robbery/snatching, and had been released from jail in June 2025.
Investigation into Misbah’s murder is ongoing, and Delhi Police continue to pursue additional leads.
