Abdul Wasi Accomplice Held in Rs1.6 Lakh Shahalibanda Theft

Gold, silver ornaments and phones recovered by police

In a swift operation, the Commissioner’s Task Force South Zone Team, in collaboration with Shahalibanda Police, arrested two men involved in a house burglary in the Shahalibanda area of Hyderabad. The accused, identified as Abdul Wasi alias Waseem (41) and Mohammed Abdul Waheed (42), were caught with stolen valuables worth Rs1.6 lakh.

Abdul Wasi alias Waseem – Car driver, resident of Bahadurpura

Mohammed Abdul Waheed – Mobile technician, resident of Bandlaguda

Both are long-time friends from Hyderabad who, according to police, turned to crime due to financial difficulties and addiction-related issues.

2 Mobile Phones

Total: 13.43g gold, 37.64g silver

128g of pledged gold recovered from Muthoot Finance, Falaknuma

Abdul Wasi conducted a reconnaissance of a relative’s home in Shahalibanda and returned with Waheed. The duo broke open the main door and almirah using an iron rod, stealing valuables which were later pledged for cash.
