Abdul Hashim Arrested for Fake Document Bail Scam

Puttur man remanded for court forgery and cheating

The Uppinangady Police have arrested Abdul Hashim (34) from Paduvannuru village, Puttur, for allegedly submitting forged documents to a court to fraudulently secure bail for another individual.

Reports state that Hashim misrepresented an RTC (Record of Rights, Tenancy, and Crops) document belonging to another resident as his own and presented it before the Principal District and Sessions Court, Dakshina Kannada, Mangaluru.

A case has been registered at Uppinangady Police Station under charges of cheating and forgery. During the investigation, it was found that Hashim had created fake documents, forged signatures, and submitted them to the court along with a valuable security bond, intending to deceive judicial authorities.

Following his arrest on November 6, Abdul Hashim was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody. Authorities continue to investigate any accomplices or additional fraudulent activities.
