Ipswich — Abdishakur Salah, 30, of Balmore Street, London, was sentenced to eight years in prison at Ipswich Crown Court on July 10 following his conviction for drug supply offences.
Salah was found guilty of being involved in the supply of cocaine and heroin between August 11 and October 11, 2024, linked to a county lines operation known as the Deano drugs line, active in Ipswich.
The arrest occurred last year at a property on Alderman Road, Ipswich, where officers attempting entry in October discovered a large quantity of cocaine and heroin being thrown from a window. A search of the premises uncovered items associated with drug trafficking, including a mobile phone used to send bulk messages advertising drug sales.
Detective Constable Daniel Steel of Suffolk Police stated, “Salah was responsible for supplying crack cocaine and heroin, which has a devastating impact on local communities. This sentence reflects the seriousness of his actions.”
Suffolk Constabulary continues to collaborate with the Metropolitan Police and other forces to combat county lines drug trafficking, aiming to disrupt these criminal networks.
