PORTLAND, Maine — A 26-year-old Portland man is facing aggravated drug trafficking charges after a large drug seizure by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA).
Abdirahmon A. Abdullahi was arrested on Wednesday following a joint investigation by the MDEA and the Portland Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit. Authorities say Abdullahi had been under surveillance for suspected drug trafficking throughout the Greater Portland area.

During the stop, they discovered 72 grams of fentanyl and 63 grams of cocaine base, all packaged for resale. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Cumberland County Jail, with bail set at $50,000.
A search warrant was then executed at 48 Elmwood Street, Abdullahi’s residence. Inside, agents reportedly found:
400 grams (nearly 1 pound) of fentanyl
187 grams (over a quarter-pound) of cocaine and cocaine base
Three firearms
$3,000 in suspected drug proceeds
Equipment used for drug processing and distribution
Abdullahi is charged with Class A aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs and Class B trafficking in Schedule W drugs. The case remains under investigation.
