SANGERFIELD, N.Y. — A 44-year-old Sangerfield man was arrested after fleeing a traffic stop and being found with multiple traffic violations, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
On September 12, a deputy observed Aaron Wright driving on Route 12 with a revoked driver’s status and displaying a fictitious inspection sticker.
When police attempted to stop him, Wright sped away on Craigfoot Road. Later, deputies found the vehicle abandoned on Tubbs Road and located Wright inside a nearby residence. He complied with officers’ commands and surrendered without incident.
Wright faces several charges including unlawful fleeing of a police officer, aggravated unlicensed operation, use of a forged inspection sticker, driving an uninspected vehicle, and speeding over 55 mph.
He was issued an appearance ticket and citations for the Town of Sangerfield Court.
