In a swift operation, Awantipora Police have arrested three individuals for their involvement in the theft of an auto-rickshaw from Ghat Tokina, using modern investigative techniques and CCTV footage.
The case was registered after a complaint was filed about the theft of an auto-rickshaw (JK04D-1894) that had been parked outside the complainant’s residence. A police team initiated an investigation, reviewing surveillance footage from various locations.
The investigation revealed the involvement of the following accused:
Aakhir Ahmad Wani, son of Fayaz Ahmad Wani, resident of Tengpora Tokuna
Setha Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Akbar Dar, resident of Renzipora
Adnan Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Altaf Bhat, also from Renzipora
All three suspects were taken into custody and shifted to the police station. The stolen vehicle was recovered from their possession.
Police have confirmed that the trio remains in custody, and the investigation is ongoing, with more leads expected to emerge as questioning continues.
