In a successful operation on Thursday night, Phagwara police apprehended a man identified as Aakash from the Industrial Area locality for possessing illegal drugs. The accused was found with 35 intoxicating tablets, which were seized at a police checkpoint.
Following the arrest, the authorities have registered a case against Aakash under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police continue to investigate the matter to determine the source of the tablets and whether the accused was involved in larger drug distribution activities.
This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by Phagwara police to crack down on drug-related offenses in the area.
