The Cochin Zonal Unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested two young men from Aluva for allegedly possessing 1.5 kg of suspected methamphetamine on Friday.
The accused, A.A. Asif and Nithin Viswam, both aged 27 and residents of Karumalloor, were apprehended at a rented house under the Edathala police station limits.
According to NCB sources, the suspects had procured the methamphetamine from Delhi. Notably, Nithin Viswam had previously been arrested by Kerala Police in a separate drug case involving meth and was also an accused in a murder investigation.
Authorities have seized the contraband and initiated further investigation to trace the network involved in the drug supply and distribution in Kerala.
