Joshua Heller Arrested in Lincoln Meth and Gun Case

Police find drugs, firearms and children inside home

by Sophia Bennett

LINCOLN, Neb. — Two people were arrested Tuesday after investigators discovered large quantities of suspected methamphetamine and multiple firearms inside a Lincoln home where children were present, according to court documents.

The arrests followed an ongoing investigation into meth distribution and illegal firearm possession involving Joshua Heller, 37. Authorities obtained a search warrant for Heller’s residence and his Chevrolet Silverado.

Investigators observed Heller leave his home and pick up a man known to be a parole absconder at another location. Both men were stopped and detained shortly afterward. Police said a loaded .40-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun was found in a holster near where Heller was taken into custody.

A search of Heller’s vehicle reportedly uncovered an additional magazine loaded with ammunition, along with a backpack containing Heller’s driver’s license and a baggie holding approximately 319 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

The investigation continued at Heller’s residence, where police executed a knock-and-announce search warrant. Inside the home, officers found 29-year-old Jessa Siebe, along with a 6-year-old and an 8-year-old child.

During the search, investigators allegedly located two additional baggies of suspected meth totaling about 690 grams, as well as a pistol and roughly 150 rounds of ammunition. Police said the drugs and firearm were easily accessible to the children.

Siebe told investigators that Heller had brought the firearm into the home for protection and said she had asked him to remove it. Court records show that both Heller and Siebe are convicted felons and legally prohibited from possessing firearms.

Heller faces multiple charges, including two counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of more than 140 grams of methamphetamine, possession of money while violating Nebraska law, and two counts of child abuse resulting in no injuries. His bond was set at 10% of $500,000.

Siebe was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of child abuse resulting in no injuries. Her bond was set at $250,000.

Both defendants are scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 8, 2026.
