The Coimbatore cybercrime police have arrested K. Arun, 42, from Chinna Chettipalayam in Erode district, on charges of cheating a Coimbatore resident of Rs3.5 lakh.
The victim, Daniel Abraham from Chinnavedampatti, had lodged a complaint alleging that Arun promised a job abroad for his son in exchange for money, which was never delivered.
Police confirmed that Arun was arrested on Wednesday following an investigation into the job fraud case. Further inquiries are underway to determine if there are additional victims connected to Arun’s operations.
