Perundurai police arrested a woman, Parimala, and her lover, Karthikeyan, on Wednesday night in connection with the murder of her husband, Sridhar, and the subsequent disposal of his body.
Authorities revealed that Sridhar, 36, from Nagapattinam district, had been married to 34-year-old Parimala from Kasipillampalayam for 14 years. Sridhar worked as a parotta master, while Parimala ran a studio and e-service center in Perundurai.
Over time, Parimala began a relationship with 42-year-old Karthikeyan from Madurai. Police said Sridhar’s drinking habits and frequent arguments with Parimala prompted the couple to see him as an obstacle to their relationship, leading to the fatal crime.
