DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — Delray Beach police arrested Demetrius Antoine Davis Wednesday morning on multiple felony charges, including alleged drug sales and possession, firearm offenses, and a probation violation.
According to booking records (Report No. 339036), Davis faces charges of selling a Schedule I controlled substance in a protected area near a school or park, possessing marijuana under 20 grams, possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule I substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting an officer without violence.
Authorities also allege that Davis, a convicted felon, unlawfully possessed a firearm or ammunition and displayed or used a firearm during the commission of a felony. Florida law carries enhanced penalties for drug sales near schools or parks and for firearm possession by convicted felons.
Police stressed that the arrest reflects allegations and not a determination of guilt. Davis was taken into custody pending further judicial proceedings. Details on bond, court dates, or release conditions have not been released.
