A tragic road accident on the Hoshiarpur-Phagwara road claimed the life of Ram Murti, a resident of Mahimowal village. The Mehtiana police have arrested the accused driver, identified as Jaspreet, alias Jassi, in connection with the incident.
According to Mandeep Kumar, Ram Murti’s son, his father was returning home in a car when the accident occurred near a kiln on Phagwara road. A passing tempo struck Ram Murti, leading to his death at the scene.
Police have taken Jaspreet into custody and registered a case. Investigations into the exact circumstances of the accident are ongoing.
