A 15-year-old boy has been fatally stabbed in Islington, making him the second youngest victim of knife crime in London this year.

Police launched a murder investigation after the attack occurred on Westbourne Road, near the junction of Sheringham Road, on Tuesday, 9 December, at 1:02pm. The teenager was rushed to hospital but died shortly afterward.

The victim has been named as Adam Henry, with tributes shared online mourning his death. The incident took place close to St Mary Magdalene School, where Adam studied in year seven, before transferring to Bridge Satellite School the following year.

Adam is now recorded as the second youngest stabbing victim in the capital this year. Earlier in 2025, 14-year-old Kelyan Bokassa was tragically stabbed 27 times on a Route 472 bus in Woolwich on 7 January. Two 16-year-olds were later jailed for life in connection with Kelyan’s murder, receiving minimum terms of 15 years and 10 months.

This year, London has recorded 70 homicides between January 1 and September 30, a 16% decrease compared to last year. However, violent incidents continue to occur, with six further fatal stabbings reported between October and December.

At the time of reporting, there have been no arrests in connection with Adam Henry’s death. Police continue to appeal for information from the public as the investigation progresses.
