HICKORY, N.C. — Jonathan Grant Fox, 44, and his daughter, Nevaeh Elizabeth Fox, 19, of Hickory, appeared in federal court Wednesday on charges related to drug trafficking and firearms violations.

Both are charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Jonathan Fox also faces charges for trafficking in firearms.

The indictment alleges that the Foxes conspired together and with others to distribute at least 50 grams of methamphetamine in and around Catawba County. Authorities also claim the pair knowingly possessed firearms to further their drug operations, with Jonathan Fox specifically involved in trafficking nine firearms in August 2025.

Law enforcement arrested Jonathan and Nevaeh Fox on December 16. During the execution of their arrest warrants, officers seized additional fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, 18 firearms, and $11,139 in U.S. currency.

The father-daughter duo are currently in federal custody and face a potential maximum sentence of life in prison.
