BALTIMORE — Baltimore police have charged a city man with attempted first-degree murder in connection with a shooting that occurred last week in east Baltimore.
According to the Baltimore Police Department, 49-year-old Darryle Langley was arrested on Dec. 12 for allegedly shooting a 34-year-old man during an incident on Dec. 7. Officers were dispatched around 10:31 a.m. to the 2200 block of East North Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Detectives from the Shooting Unit took over the investigation and later identified Langley as the suspect. Warrant Apprehension detectives located and arrested him without incident in the 2800 block of The Alameda.
Langley was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was formally charged with attempted first-degree murder. The investigation remains ongoing.
