ORANGEBURG, S.C. — Two men were arrested after a noise complaint led to a gun and drug bust in Orangeburg County, authorities said.
Orangeburg County officials identified the suspects as 24-year-old Tyshon Jefferson and 25-year-old Tamir Shivers. Both face multiple counts of marijuana possession, and Jefferson is also charged with three counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Deputies responded to a Baugh Street residence around 7 p.m. Monday. A search of a vehicle and associated apartment revealed several firearms, multiple magazines, and additional marijuana.
One suspect was taken into custody without incident, while the other was apprehended after attempting to escape by crawling through a hole in the apartment ceiling.
Both Jefferson and Shivers were booked into the Orangeburg County Detention Center, and charges are pending further investigation.
