A man who traveled between London and Cambridge to deal drugs has been sentenced to over six years in prison.
Samuel Navo, 31, of Colebrook Way, London, was arrested on July 30 after officers stopped him in London. At the time, he was found in possession of a large knife and a mobile phone.
A search of Navo’s home revealed Class A drugs, cannabis, and additional evidence of drug dealing. Messages on his phone indicated he had been offering drugs for sale and actively supplying heroin in Cambridge between March and July.
Navo was also involved in a separate incident on April 4, when he failed to stop during a police pursuit in his black Ford Kuga, traveling through Balsham, Fulbourn, and Cambridge.
On November 24 at Cambridge Crown Court, Navo was sentenced to six years and eight months after pleading guilty to:
Being concerned in the supply of heroin
Possession of a knife in a public place
Dangerous driving
Driving while disqualified
He was also disqualified from driving for three years and eight months.
Detective Constable Olwen De Smidt, who investigated the case, stated: “Navo was moving drugs between cities and carrying a weapon which poses a significant risk to our communities. The sentence reflects the seriousness of his actions and shows how drug-related criminality is not tolerated in our county.”
