A Kentucky woman, 63-year-old Wanda A. Hopson, was arrested Tuesday morning after a traffic stop in Evansville revealed she was in possession of cocaine and money consistent with drug dealing.

Hopson had just dropped off her grandchild at school when she was pulled over for speeding 35 mph in a school zone. Authorities discovered that she already had a felony arrest warrant. A search of her vehicle uncovered two pill bottles containing substances that tested positive for cocaine. In addition, the amount of cocaine and cash found in her possession suggested she may have been dealing the drug.

Hopson was charged with neglect of a dependent, dealing cocaine, and speeding in a school zone. She was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail without bond.
