A two-day trial in Lawrence County, Ohio, has ended with a guilty verdict in a long-term undercover drug investigation, prosecutors announced.
Edward Crawford, 38, of Huntington, was convicted on nine counts of aggravated trafficking and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, according to a release from the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office. The charges stem from an extended investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl in the region.
Crawford’s co-defendant, 34-year-old Kaylee McKnight of Hilliard, Ohio, previously pleaded guilty for her involvement and received a prison sentence of 12 to 15 years.
Crawford is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 22.
