Three Arrested in Onslow County Human Trafficking Case

Authorities investigate “The Farm” for abuse and drugs

ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. — Three individuals have been arrested following a human trafficking investigation at a property known as “The Farm” on Willow Street in Hubert, authorities announced.

The investigation, conducted by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, began on September 24 after reports of human trafficking, sexual abuse, and narcotics violations.

Arrests and charges:

Freddy Wayne Duncan, 42, Hubert (no bond) – Felony human trafficking, second-degree forcible rape, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, possession of Schedule II drugs, and paraphernalia offenses.

James Michael Eggleston, 33, Hubert – Misdemeanor possession of drug and marijuana paraphernalia, misdemeanor child abuse; held on a $2,000 secured bond.

Steven Radford Brown, 35, Maysville – Felony probation violation; held on a $2,500 secured bond.

The operation covered roughly 13 acres and included the execution of search warrants on September 26.

Investigators are actively working to identify and assist victims. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for tips leading to assistance in the case.
