LITTLE RIVER, SC — A Little River man, Jackie Gore III, 23, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for drug and gun charges after pleading guilty on Monday.

According to Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson, Gore pleaded guilty to possession of a machine gun, distribution of fentanyl, and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

The Horry County Police Department Narcotics and Vice Section conducted an operation in January targeting illegal drug sales. Gore allegedly sold fentanyl to an undercover confidential informant, with transactions captured on audio and video surveillance.

During a search of Gore’s home, officers discovered a trafficking quantity of fentanyl, an auto sear, and a device that converts a semiautomatic rifle into a fully automatic firearm.

A judge sentenced Gore to five years for machine gun possession, 10 years for fentanyl distribution, and 10 years for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, with all sentences to run simultaneously.
