BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore homicide detectives have arrested 29-year-old Elijah Jackson in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in early October.
On October 7, officers responded around 3:47 p.m. to the 100 block of West Garrett Street for a report of a cutting. When they arrived, they found 63-year-old Terry Copes suffering from multiple lacerations. Copes was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
After nearly two weeks of investigation, police located Jackson on October 22 during a routine patrol in the 700 block of Freeman Street. He was arrested without incident and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
Jackson is now charged with first-degree murder in the death of Copes.
