FLORENCE, S.C. (WPDE) — Authorities have arrested a man in connection with a fatal Easter weekend shooting in Florence.

Deporcha Devorica Miller, 33, was taken into custody Thursday and charged with murder, attempted murder, and armed robbery, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO).

The victim, Rashawn Dickerson, 26, was killed in the shooting on Pindo Court, near Highway 52 in Florence. Dickerson’s family said it was unusual for him to be in that area and noted he had been looking forward to attending church on Easter morning.

Miller is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
