In a decisive action, Udaipur police have arrested Manish Kumar alias Kamal, accused of the murder of trader Ramesh Enani. The suspect was caught with the pistol and three live cartridges allegedly used in the crime.
According to SP Manish Tripathi, the incident occurred on Tuesday near the City Petrol Pump, when the bike-borne assailant fired at Enani with the intent to kill. Enani later died during treatment at Geetanjali Hospital, Udaipur. A case was filed at Kotwali Chittorgarh police station based on a report by Enani’s son.
Under the supervision of ASP Sarita Singh and DSP Vinay Chaudhary, combined teams from Sadar Chittorgarh, Kotwali Chittorgarh, Cyber Cell, and DST conducted intelligence-based operations. The accused, Manish Kumar Dubey, son of Hiralal Dubey from Chitaipur, Post Sundarpur, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended on the Surajpol–Gopalnagar route.
During interrogation, Manish Kumar disclosed details that led to the recovery of the pistol and three live cartridges. He has been produced in court and placed on police remand till 18 November. Investigation continues to identify any accomplices and uncover further details of the murder.
