FREMONT, Neb. — A rural Dodge County burglary suspect was arrested Monday morning after deputies discovered drugs in his vehicle.
Authorities from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office made contact with the suspect around 4:30 a.m. Monday on East 23rd Street in Fremont. A search of the vehicle revealed two ounces of methamphetamine and half an ounce of marijuana.
The suspect, 51-year-old Daniel Rice, was taken into custody and faces charges including Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, and Habitual Criminal.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the investigation into the burglary and related drug activity remains ongoing.
