DEVILS LAKE, N.D. — Two Devils Lake residents are facing felony charges following an October 15 incident in Kloten, North Dakota that involved drug possession and threats against witnesses.
Latasha Thompson and Kyle Baker are charged with multiple criminal counts, including a felony terrorizing charge for Thompson.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call around 8:20 p.m. and saw Thompson and Baker walking away from a residence. Thompson told police she was attempting to check on her children.
Witnesses reported that Thompson threatened to burn their house down and harm them, with one saying, “She said she was going to hunt us down and kill us.” These statements were confirmed by multiple individuals at the scene.

Officers later found their vehicle stuck on railroad tracks with fictitious plates. A canine search revealed meth, marijuana, black tar heroin, drug paraphernalia, and an open container of alcohol. Both suspects denied ownership of the narcotics.
