Pitt County Couple Arrested for Illegal Drug Sales

Authorities seize drugs, firearms during home raid

PITT COUNTY, N.C. — A man and woman are facing charges after a months-long investigation into illegal drug sales in Pitt County.

Detectives with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home on Roman Lane Friday, assisted by deputies and K-9 units. Reginald Stancil and Jennifer King, residents of the home, were arrested following the raid.

Authorities seized illegal drugs, three firearms, and ammunition during the operation. Stancil, 53, was charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, three counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, and three counts of maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances. He remains in the Pitt County Detention Center with a $500,000 bond.

King, 35, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She posted a $10,000 secured bond and was released.

The investigation began after tips were received through Crime Stoppers and other sources, the sheriff’s office said. Authorities continue to monitor the area for related criminal activity.
