Officials recovered 2.080 kg of ganja from Bharat Kappa and Umesh, and 1.150 kg from Shashikant. The total estimated value of the seized drugs is Rs1.60 lakh. The accused, along with the confiscated ganja, were handed over to the excise station for further investigation.
In a separate case, city-based doctor Dr. John Paul was arrested on Monday for possession of drugs worth Rs3 lakh. Officials also booked three associates, Pramod, Sandeep, and Sharath, who reportedly assisted in procuring drugs from Delhi and Bengaluru for distribution in Hyderabad.
