HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) — A citywide narcotics operation led by the Hartford Police Narcotics Unit resulted in nine arrests and the seizure of drugs, a loaded firearm, and thousands in cash.
The operation took place on October 8, targeting narcotics “hot spot” areas identified through community complaints, according to police.
Officers recovered 43 grams of cocaine, seven grams of crack cocaine, 111 bags of fentanyl, three ounces of marijuana, and a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber handgun loaded with six live rounds. Police also seized $5,936 in cash believed to be connected to drug sales.
Among those arrested was 41-year-old Kimani Christie, who faces multiple firearm-related charges, including carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of a firearm, and weapons in a motor vehicle.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing as part of Hartford’s ongoing efforts to curb street-level drug trafficking and gun violence.
