A 32-year-old Bengaluru man, Vasudeva R, has been arrested for allegedly cheating an individual of more than Rs24 lakh through fake ritual services promoted on Instagram, police said on Wednesday.
The accused, a native of Yeshwanthpur, had been living in Srinivasa Nagar, Sunkadakatte, until his arrest on November 4. Investigators revealed that Vasudeva lured victims with social media posts advertising spiritual rituals, then collected large sums under false pretenses.

During the arrest, police seized four mobile phones and Rs1,60,300 in cash believed to be proceeds from the fraudulent activities.
