Havelock Man Arrested in Crack Cocaine Trafficking Case

Desmond Jones faces multiple charges after drug bust

HAVELOCK, N.C. – A Havelock man is facing multiple charges following a search warrant execution by the Havelock Police Department and the Craven County Sheriff’s Office on October 13, 2025.

Police obtained the warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and delivery of illegal narcotics. During the search, authorities seized 60 grams of crack cocaine, 42 Ecstasy pills, and three firearms.

Desmond Jones, 46, is facing the following charges:

Trafficking in Cocaine

Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance

Possession of a Firearm by a Felon

Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Jones was booked into the Craven County Detention Center and released on a $200,000 secured bond, officials said.

Authorities continue to investigate the case.
