SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Candice Campbell, a 41-year-old San Angelo woman, was arrested on Monday, June 3, after being sought by the San Angelo Police Department (SAPD) for several weeks. She is facing charges related to the theft of property valued between $2,500 and $30,000.
Campbell was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Center early in the morning, at 6:52 a.m., and her bond has been set at $25,000. Her arrest comes after authorities issued a warrant for her capture on May 16, following the theft charge filed against her in December 2023. According to jail records, she had been wanted for over five months before her arrest.
The theft charge stems from a property theft that occurred on December 21, 2023. In the state of Texas, theft of property in this range is classified as a state jail felony, which could carry a sentence of up to two years in prison, in addition to fines of up to $10,000, if convicted.
This is not Campbell’s first arrest on theft charges. Jail records show that she has been arrested multiple times for similar offenses, with her first documented arrest for theft dating back to August 2004.
The SAPD had called on the public for assistance in locating Campbell, and her capture was the result of an ongoing investigation into the theft. She is now facing serious charges that could lead to a lengthy jail sentence, depending on the outcome of her case.
