In a major crackdown, Hyderabad Police busted a prostitution racket being run from the upscale R-INN Hotel on Road Number 12, Banjara Hills, rescuing three women, including a foreign national from Uzbekistan. The raid, conducted between October 22 and 23, 2025, led to the arrest of eight individuals, including the main organiser and seven customers.
Acting on a credible tip-off, officers from the Commissioner’s Task Force (West Zone), in coordination with the Banjara Hills Police, raided the hotel rooms 111 and 112, where illegal activities were reportedly taking place.
The prime accused, identified as Shareef (36), a resident of Royal Kunj Apartments, Hyderabad, was allegedly running the racket under the cover of his salon business, Style Maker Salon. He lured unemployed young women from the city with false promises of jobs and high commissions, later coercing them into prostitution.
Police also arrested seven customers, all residents of Kurnool, caught red-handed during the operation, along with a hotel receptionist accused of facilitating the illegal trade.
Authorities recovered Rs 5,950 in cash, 13 mobile phones, and 12 unused condoms from the scene. The victims, including the Uzbek national, were rescued and provided immediate assistance.
According to Additional DCP M. Iqbal Siddiqui and DCP Task Force Y.V.S. Sudheendra, the accused were using the salon as a front to recruit and exploit women. Police are now investigating possible international trafficking links connected to the case.
