Yung Filly Arrested and Charged with Sexual Assault in Perth

Popular British YouTuber, rapper, and BBC star Yung Filly has been arrested and charged with sexual assault following an alleged incident in Perth, Australia. The internet personality, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is accused of raping a woman in her twenties at a hostel on September 28, 2024.

Yung Filly, known for his involvement in the Beta Squad YouTube group and for his work with the BBC, faces serious charges including four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault, and one count of impeding a person’s breathing by applying pressure to the neck.

The alleged assault occurred after Yung Filly performed at Bar1 Nightclub in Perth, where he is said to have assaulted the woman at a nearby hostel. Following his arrest, his bail application was adjourned during an appearance at Perth Magistrates Court on October 10, 2024.

Western Australia Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. The Sex Assault Squad detectives are urging anyone with information about this case, or similar incidents, to contact Crime Stoppers.

Yung Filly, who gained fame as part of the popular YouTube group Beta Squad and has collaborated with influencers like KSI’s Sidemen, also gained recognition as a TV presenter for BBC Three shows such as Hot Property, Don’t Scream, and Yung Filly’s Celeb Lock-In. In addition to his BBC work, he has appeared on Channel 4’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.

The charges against Yung Filly have shocked his fans and the wider public, as the comedian-rapper was previously known for his lighthearted online content and collaborations with other celebrities. As the investigation continues, the authorities have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
