TOPEKA, Kan. — Tyler Marcus Reeves, 23, of Topeka, was arrested early Monday morning after a traffic stop led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office said deputies pulled over a black 2004 Kia Spectra near S.W. 7th and Lane streets at around 3:15 a.m.
During the stop, deputies found illegal narcotics and learned Reeves had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. He was taken into custody and booked into Shawnee County Jail at 5:25 a.m. Reeves faces charges including possession of an opiate or narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a defective tail lamp violation.
Reeves was held on a $15,000 bond for the narcotics-related offenses and a separate $2,740 bond for the bench warrant. Authorities stated the investigation is ongoing.
