MOORE COUNTY, N.C. — Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced the arrest of two Southern Pines men following a drug bust on Aug. 29, 2024. Detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of West Indiana Avenue.
During the search, investigators seized suspected cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.
Antwain Stroman, 36, of Southern Pines, was arrested and charged with:
- Maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for controlled substances
- Possession of a stolen firearm
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Stroman was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a 48-hour hold pursuant to HB813 and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on Sept. 12, 2024.
Also arrested was George Reaves Jr., 60, of Southern Pines, who faces charges of:
- Felony possession of cocaine
- Maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for controlled substances
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
In addition to the drug charges, Reaves had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to pay child support. He was booked into the Moore County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on Sept. 19, 2024.
As with all criminal defendants, Stroman and Reaves are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
