Four Drug Peddlers Nabbed with Heroin in J&K Samba & Udhampur

38 grams heroin seized in two separate police operations

Jammu, October 13: In two separate operations on Sunday, Jammu and Kashmir police arrested four drug peddlers and recovered over 38 grams of heroin in Samba and Udhampur districts, officials said.

In Samba district, police detained Mushtaq Hussain and Zafar Shah, both residents of Targain-Budhal village in Rajouri, after recovering 30.70 grams of heroin from their vehicle near Sarore bus stand during a routine check.

Meanwhile, in Udhampur district, two other suspects, Irshad and Mohd Arif alias Jugnu, were apprehended near Birma bridge while riding a two-wheeler. Police seized 8.46 grams of heroin from their possession.

All four accused have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in two separate cases. Investigations into the cases are ongoing.
