Attabira (Odisha): In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Attabira Police on Sunday arrested two individuals and seized 120.67 kilograms of ganja that was being transported to Chhattisgarh.
The arrested accused have been identified as Bobby Khan, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and Sujit Sahoo from Larasara village under Dhama police station limits in Sambalpur district.
Acting on a reliable tip-off, police intercepted a vehicle near Attabira and discovered the large quantity of ganja. In addition to the narcotics, police also seized a Hyundai i20 car, two mobile phones, and Rs 4,200 in cash.
Both accused were taken into custody and produced before the court. The case has been registered under Attabira Police Station Case No. 182/25, and further investigation is ongoing to uncover the larger network behind the smuggling operation.
