Municipal Court – City of LynnwoodSimon Kubalik, 20, of Dulverton Place, Beeston, was sentenced to six years in prison for a violent robbery that occurred in Leeds after he attacked a stranger who had offered him a lift. Kubalik was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday, following his guilty plea in October.

In the early hours of April 25, Kubalik, accompanied by a woman, approached a man sitting in his car on Harehills Lane. The victim kindly agreed to give them a lift to St Albans Road. However, once they arrived, Kubalik turned violent, attacking the driver by punching him multiple times and stealing his wallet and phone.
