ONSWOL COUNTY, N.C. — Three people were arrested following an ongoing human trafficking and narcotics investigation at a property known as “The Farm” in Hubert.
The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), launched the probe on September 24 after receiving reports of human trafficking, sexual abuse, and narcotics violations at the Willow Street property.
On September 26, law enforcement executed search warrants covering approximately 13 acres of the property, leading to the arrests of Freddy Wayne Duncan, 42, and James Michael Eggleston, 33, both residents of Hubert, as well as Steven Radford Brown, 35, from Maysville.
Duncan faces serious charges, including felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a place for controlled substances, human trafficking, possession of drug and marijuana paraphernalia, and second-degree forcible rape. He remains in custody without bond and appeared in court on September 29.
Eggleston was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as misdemeanor child abuse. He is currently held on a $2,000 secured bond and has a court date set for November 12.
Brown was charged with a felony probation violation. He remains in detention on a $2,500 secured bond and is scheduled for a court appearance on September 30.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to probe the extent of the criminal activity at the property.
