Florian Donatus Tegako, councillor for the Walvis Bay Rural constituency representing the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC), has been arrested in connection with the alleged fraudulent use of the Erongo Regional Council’s credit card.

Despite a High Court ruling that removed him from his position as Chairperson of the Erongo Regional Council and reinstated SWAPO’s Benitha Imbamba, Tegako was controversially retained in the role for some time.
